Odisha cabinet nod to 32 proposals including barrage in Bhubaneswar's Pandara

The approved 32 proposals include a barrage at Pandara, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar to supply drinking water to the capital city, merger of DRDA with Zilla Parishad, sanction of 100.5 acre of land under Sambalpur tehsil for establishment of Sainik School, Mega Drinking Water Projects for Mayurbhnaj, Sambalpur and Deogarh districts.

The Odisha Cabinet on Wednesday approved as many as 32 proposals, including a barrage at Pandara, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar to supply drinking water to the capital city, merger of DRDA with Zilla Parishad, sanction of 100.5 acre of land under Sambalpur tehsil for establishment of Sainik School, Mega Drinking Water Projects for Mayurbhnaj, Sambalpur and Deogarh districts and setting up of around 500 Mission Shakti outlets for the sale of WSHG products. 

The State government issued an official release informing about the proposals being approved. According to the release, the approved proposals include release of financial assistance to IDCO for development of Mega Almunium Park in Angul district, creation of land bank for the purposes of industry and infrastructure, sanction of grant-in-aid in favour of 24 private recognized upper primary schools, proposal for enactment of a separate legislation for establishment of a self financed private unitary University in the name of DRIEMS University and proposal for amendment of the Gandhi Institute of Engineering and Technology University, Odisha Act, 2018.
