Normal life was severely hit in several districts due to the low pressure-induced heavy rainfall in the state. Torrential rains caused heavy flooding in many areas, thereby disrupting vehicular movements.

Vehicular movements came to a standstill after bridges were submerged in rainwater. On the other hand, many bridges were swept away in the flood waters. Kandhamal, Nabarangpur, Kalahandi and Nayagarh districts received record rainfall.
