The Employees' Provident Fund Organization (EPFO) recently added around 14.81 lakh subscribers in the month of August 2021.
The provisional payroll data reflected a growing trend in net payroll for the first five months of the current fiscal. The EPFO recently issued an advisory for its members through a tweet on social media.
Issuing an alert, the EPFO advised its members to beware of fraudsters who are on the prowl on the cyber space. “EPFO never asks for personal details like Aadhaar, PAN, UAN, Bank Account, OTP over phone, social media and WhatsApp,” tweeted EPFO.

The social security body further clarified that it never asks PF and other members to deposit money through any social media platforms. Rather people should never respond to such calls and messages, it added.
Members can visit grievance portal at https://epfigms.gov.in for redressal of any type of grievance related to the services of Employees' Provident Fund.
The members can also contact on the toll free number-1800-118-005. People can also avail EPF services on the UMANG App, a digital platform which offers employee-centric services.
Through the application, one can view passbook balance, raise and track claims, activate UAN and other certificates as well. Pensioners can also get various services related to the passbook, Jeevan Pramaan submission and can also download pension payment orders as well.
