Deep Depression crosses coast near Digha, IMD issues heavy rainfall warning for 4 Odisha districts

Under the impact, Balasore will experience heavy to very heavy rainfall with a wind speed of 25-30km/hr. The district has recorded 25mm rainfall in the last two hours, the SRC added.

The deep depression crossed Digha between 7pm and 8pm on Friday as captured from Paradeep radar, informed Special Relief Commissioner Pradeep Jena on Friday. The system will continue to move west-northwestwards and adjoining North Odisha coasts between Balasore and Sagar Island.

The movement of the deep depression has triggered incessant rainfall in North Balasore, Mayurbhanj and Bhadrak.
