Opposition Chief Whip Mohan Majhi alleged fixing between the ruling Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Congress. He said since the government would have landed in trouble over the Mahanga double murder and law and order situation, the Congress party preferred to stall the proceedings by raking up the issue of the alleged corruption in the Odisha State Staff Selection Commission (OSSC).

Blame Game Over Odisha Assembly Stalemate: Fixing Between BJD & Congress, Alleges BJP The Odisha Assembly on Friday witnessed uproarious scenes when the Opposition Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and Congress tried to corner the State government over a string of important issues rocking the State. The pandemonium made Speaker SN Patro adjourn the House till 4 pm. 

The Congress alleged that the main Opposition in the House, the BJP is not focused in its stand and the party members are raising multiple issues. “The BJP members had raised the farmers’ issue yesterday and today they brought in the law and order situation in the House,” alleged Narasingha Mishra, leader of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP).
