The Odisha government on Monday issued an important notification regarding the High Security Registration Plates (HSRP).
As per the latest notification issued by Transport Commissioner-cum-chairman State Transport Authority (STA), the vehicle owners who have applied for HSRP online before the timeline will be exempted from enforcement checking.
No fine will be imposed on the vehicle owners if he/she produces an online booking slip during the checking.
This decision was taken by STA in view of the problems faced by the vehicle owners in getting a slot for fitment of HSRP. As per sources, the inordinate waiting period was mainly due to a sudden rise in online booking for fitment of HSRP.
HSRP Deadlines
Vehicles carrying Odisha Registration mark and registration number ending with 1 and 2: August 31 (extended to September 30, 2022)
Vehicles carrying Odisha Registration mark and registration number ending with 3 and 4: September 30, 2022
Vehicles carrying Odisha Registration mark and registration number ending with 5 and 6: October 31, 2022
Vehicles carring Odisha Registration mark and registration number ending with 7 and 8: November 30, 2022
Vehicles carring Odisha Registration mark and registration number ending with 9 and 0: December 31, 2022
How to apply HSRP
- Visit: www.siam.in
- Click book HSRP
- Complete HSRP Registration by entering name, vehicle registration number, email, phone number and state details.
- You will be redirected to a separate page where you need to enter details like vehicle registration number, chassis number and engine number.
- After providing details, select location and slot for affixation of HSRP
- Pay the fee online
- Save and take a print out of the same for future references
