#Watch: SHG members exchange blows over mid-day meal issue in Bhadrak

Students of Talapada Nodal School under Dhamnagar block in Bhadrak district were deprived of mid-day meal, thanks to the fight between members of a Self Help Group (SHG) engaged in mid-meal (MDM) supply in the school.

They got into an argument over MDM preparation and later exchanged blows for which students were deprived of their meal.

According to sources, an argument ensued between SHG members over mid-day meal and their altercation became so serious that they started exchanging blows on school premises.  Later, they returned home without cooking food. The entire incident was caught in the camera and the video went viral. 

However, students got deprived of mid-day meal in the process. Finding no other go, teachers had to buy biscuits and distributed among the children. 

SHG members were unavailable to comment in this regard.

On the other hand, headmistress Madhusmta Jena said necessary action will be taken against them.
