Bhubaneswar: At a time when the State is under a lockdown and public transport has come to a grinding halt, Odisha’s public carrier, ‘Mo Bus’ managed by the Capital Region Urban Transport (CRUT) has made good use of its Twitter handle to engage public in trivia and games.
Most importantly, it has managed to retain the public engagement in this COVID pandemic when everyone is forced to take refuge in their homes and desperate to get some refreshment, which the ‘Mo Bus’ Twitter handle promises of.
From trivia associated with bus stops in the Twin Cities to jumbled words and ‘Fill in the blanks’, the micro blogging account of Mo Bus provides a much needed respite to its followers from a constant buzz of COVID deaths and Coronavirus cases that they are faced with whenever they switch on the TV sets, or open the morning newspapers
Earlier on Friday, Mo Bus posted four pictures in its Twitter handle and asked the followers to associate them with the bus stops they symbolise. The users were quick to respond, to which the ‘MO Bus’ Twitter admin was prompt enough to answer back.
Similarly, on Thursday, it had posted a ‘Fill in the blanks' to attract engagement. “Let's do a brain workout while you stay at home. Share your answers in the comment section. Hint- Some words are related to CRUT & some are related to the preventive measures of coronavirus,” the tweet read.
It is pertinent to mention here that the CRUT, headed by IPS Arun Bothra, has suspended its bus services in the wake of the COVID induced lockdown. However, bus service for incoming passengers is available from railway station to Cuttack and Khordha. Shuttle service is available from airport to railway station for the convenience of the flyers.
