New Delhi: Wilma Flintstone of the famous Flinstones comic book series, dressed in her trademark white mini and matching stone necklace conversing to simpleton villager Suppandi, one of the most popular characters from Tinkle, may greet visitors at the ongoing Comic Con 2012 here.

The convention of comics and graphic novel publishers, artists and writers offers an opportunity for those who believe in the world of comics and yearn to live in the pages of their favorite comics, a chance to fulfil their childhood dream.

Just walking into the venue Dilli Haat here dressed up as your favourite comic character a visitor can even win a trip to Disney Land in Hong Kong. However, those below the age 13 years are offered bicycles as prizes.

"Our costume contest- `Cosplay` has two categories, one for children under 13 and other for people above this age. The winner in under 13 years category will be given a Bicycle. Winner in above 13 years category will get a free trip to Disney Land Hong Kong", Manleen Kaur Communications Head, Comic Con told PTI.

Dressed in red, golden and blue, 22-year old Ishita poses as her favourite DC Comics superheroine, Wonder Woman along with her friends Deepti and Zaira who have dressed up as Super Woman and Harley Quinn respectively. "We are here for the love of comic characters, especially super heroines. It`s great fun to get dressed up like them", says Ishita.

Comic books, magazines, CDs of comic series, posters of comic characters and superheroes, mugs, T-shirts, badges, can be found at the 80 odd stalls in the 2nd Annual Indian Comics Convention at Dilli Haat, that began here on Friday. Kaur says, "There are 80 stalls here, which are offering variety of merchandise related to comic characters."

The `Chimp` stall with a catchy tagline 99 per cent Bananas 1 per cent you, is offering, mugs, badges and Funny quote T-shirts. `The Costume Shop` offers a variety of superhero costumes of Superman and Batman, and other dresses like Cindrella and Alice in Wonderland are favorites among younger children.

"My daughter dragged me to this stall when she saw it. She wants a Cindrella dress", says Rohini who came to the event with her seven-year old daughter.

Of the 25 book launches over a period of 3 days. The most awaited among them being the launch of `Anant Pai, Master Storyteller` by Amar Chitra Katha as a tribute to its master storyteller - Anant Pai, popularly known as Uncle Pai.

For fans of action heroes there is `The Avengers`, in action, exclusively at the convention at the special `Marvel` zone with comics, merchandise and many games. The Avengers is an upcoming American superhero film by Marvel Studios.

Visitors can also catch Robert Crumb, the legendary American artist who is known as the father of underground comics movement. His famous creations are `Keep on Truckin`, `Fritz, the Cat, `Mr. Natural` and Weirdo Comics. The 2nd Annual Comic Convention is being held at Dilli Haat in the national capital for 3 days ending tommorow.
