Ghaziabad; In a scathing attack on Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mayawati, Samajwadi Party state President Akhilesh Yadav today accused her of supporting criminals for political gains and alleged that over one dozen ministers in her cabinet are hand-in-glove with criminals.

Mayawati had played a supportive role for making money at the cost of farmers land during her regime and now formation of new districts in western UP was an attempt to take political mileage in coming election in the state, Yadav said on the sidelines of a function here.

Replying to a question on former party leader Amar Singh, Yadav said SP will support him as Singh was not a beneficiary in the cash-for-vote scam.
