Mumbai: City Police on Tuesday arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly beating up his 66-year-old mother to death at their suburban residence. The accused Nana Murli Jagtap was taking care of his bed-ridden mother for past two months and was frustrated about serving her, they said.

According to police, the victim Kamal Jagtap was totally dependent upon her son and at times refused to eat food. Nana had resigned from his work three months back to attend to his ailing mother.

Police said the accused had a heated argument with his mother following which beaten her up to death.

Chunnabatti police have registered a case of murder against Nana.
