Rourkela: A man was arrested for allegedly killing a 70-year-old widow suspecting her to be practising witchcraft at a village in Odisha`s Sundargarh district, police said today.

Mahabir Singh (35) of Pasara Ganjutola village under Biramitrapur area was arrested today for killing Phulmani Singh on Sunday, they said.

On interogation, Mahabir confessed before police that he had beaten Phulmani to death as he suspected that she was responsible for the death of his wife one and a half year back and the sickness of his child due to her witchcraft.
