Patna: Rich tributes were today paid to renowned litterateur Phani Renu on his 91th birth anniversity.

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar unveiled a bust of Renu at a public park in Kankerbagh locality and released a folder on the life sketch of the litterateur on this occasion. Renu`s son and BJP MLA Padam Parag Rai Venu and a number of eminent people also paid their tributes to the noted litterateur.

Renu had authored a number of novels and short stories in Hindi, including one of the most widely read novel `Maila Anchal`. His short story `Mare Gaye Gulfam` was adapted into a Hindi Film `Teesri Kasam`.
