UPSC Civil Services Exam: Supreme Court issues important order on claiming of EWS quota by candidates

The three candidates had approached the top court after the UPSC treated them as general category candidates instead of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category in the Civil Service Examinations(CSE) 2022.

The Supreme Court has refused to entertain the petitions of three civil services aspirants who had moved the apex court challenging the decision of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC).  

The three candidates- Divya, Vimlok Tiwari and Ved Prakash Singh- had approached the top court after the UPSC treated them as general category candidates instead of the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) category in the Civil Service Examinations(CSE) 2022.
