The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has opened the application window for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination II 2025. Candidates can apply online through https://upsconline.nic.in. The deadline for submission is June 17, 2025, 11:59 PM.

Indian Military Academy, Dehradun: 100 Posts
Indian Naval Academy, Ezhimala: 32 Posts
Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Men): 276 Posts
Officers’ Training Academy, Chennai (Women): 19 Posts
Educational Qualifications for CDS II
IMA and OTA: Degree from a recognised University.
INA: Degree in Engineering.
AFA: Degree with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level or a Bachelor of Engineering.
Graduates must present their degree or provisional certificate at the time of SSB interview.
Age Limit and Marital Status
IMA and INA: Unmarried male candidates born between July 2, 2002 and July 1, 2007.
Air Force Academy: Candidates aged 20–24 years as on July 1, 2026. Upper age limit is relaxable to 26 years for Commercial Pilot Licence holders.
OTA (Men & Women): Age limits as applicable to their respective courses.
Application Fee
Candidates (except Female/SC/ST) are required to pay a fee of Rs 200.
Scheme of Examination and Interview
Written Exam for IMA, INA, AFA:
English: 2 hours, 100 marks
General Knowledge: 2 hours, 100 marks
Elementary Mathematics: 2 hours, 100 marks
OTA:
English: 2 hours, 100 marks
General Knowledge: 2 hours, 100 marks
Interview:
Total marks: 300 each for IMA, INA, AFA; 200 for OTA
Penalty for Wrong Answers
There will be negative marking for incorrect answers in the objective-type question papers.
