The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released an official notification for the Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) recruitment examination 2025. Along with the notification, the registration process has also begun. Interested candidates can apply through the official website, link -  ssc.gov.in. The last date to submit applications is July 21, 2025.

This recruitment drive is being conducted for 1,340 tentative vacancies. Final post- and category-wise vacancies will be updated later on the SSC website.

Key Dates for SSC JE 2025

Online application submission: June 30 to July 21

Deadline for online fee payment: July 22 (by 11 pm)

Application correction window: August 1 to 2

Tentative Paper-I exam dates: October 27 to 31

Tentative Paper-II exam dates: January–February 2026

Candidates must ensure they complete their application submissions between June 30 and July 21. Fee payments can be made online until 11 pm on July 22. 

In case of any errors in the application form, a correction window will be open on August 1 and 2. The first stage of the Computer-Based Examination (Paper-I) is expected to be held from October 27 to 31, while Paper-II is tentatively scheduled between January and February 2026.

Age Criteria

The age limit varies depending on the specific post, and candidates should refer to the detailed notification for post-wise eligibility criteria.

Application Fee 

Candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100. However, women candidates, as well as those belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD), and eligible Ex-Servicemen, are exempted from fee payment.

Selection Procedure

The Computer-Based Examination will be held in two stages, Paper-I and Paper-II. Detailed tables with subject-wise syllabus and marking scheme are available in the official notification.
