The State Bank of India, SBIhas invited applications for the recruitment of Probationary Officer.

The online preliminary examination is likely to be conducted between March 8 and March 15, 2025.

Age Limit

The age of the candidate should be between 21 years and 30 years as on April 1, 2024.

Educational Qualification

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government is required. Candidates in their final year or semester of graduation may apply provisionally, provided they can produce proof of passing their graduation examination on or before April 30, 2025, if called for an interview. Those with an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that their IDD completion date is also on or before April 30, 2025.

Additionally, candidates with qualifications in fields such as medicine, engineering, chartered accounting, or cost accounting are also eligible to apply.

Selection Process

Selection of Probationary Officers will be done through three phases:

Phase 1: Preliminary Examination

Phase 2: Main Examination

Phase 3: Psychometric Test, Group Exercise, and Personal Interview

A total 100 marks will be offered in the Preliminary Examination through an online objective type test. The Main Examination, conducted online, is divided into two tests comprising a total of 200 objective type questions and a total of 50 descriptive tests. The candidates short-listed for Phase 3 will undergo a psychometric test for personality profiling.

Application Fee

For candidates applying under Unreserved, EWS, and OBC categories, the application fee is Rs 750; it is exempted for candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwBD. The application fee cannot be refunded and transferred to another examination or selection process.
