The State Bank of India (SBI) has invited online applications for the appointment of Specialist Cadre Officers on contractual basis.
Candidates can apply for the vacancies through the official website of the bank-- https://bank.sbi/web/careers or https://www.sbi.co.in/web/careers on or before the last date for payment of fee.
The online application for the posts opened on March 4, while the last date to apply is March 31, 2022.

Age Limits
For the positions of Chief Information Officer, Chief Technology Officer, the maximum age limit is 55 years as on January 1, 2022.
For the positions of Deputy Chief Technology Officer (e-channels), Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Core Banking), the maximum age limit is 45 years as on January 1, 2022.
Place Of Posting: Mumbai/ Navi Mumbai or as decided by the Bank.
Contract Period: The contract period is five years. However, the contract can be terminated from either side by giving advance notice of three months.
Selection Process (For All Four Posts):
Selection will be based on shortlisting and interview. “Mere fulfilling minimum qualification and experience will not vest any right in candidate for being called for interview. The shortlisting committee constituted by the Bank will decide the shortlisting parameters and thereafter, adequate number of candidates, as decided by the Bank, will be shortlisted for interview. The decision of the Bank to call the candidates for the interview shall be final. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard. The shortlisted candidates will be called for interview,” said the official notification of SBI.
Interview will carry 100 marks. The qualifying marks in interview will be decided by the Bank. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.
Following the shortlisting and interview, merit list for selection will be prepared in descending order on the basis of scores obtained in interview only. In case more than one candidate scores the cut-off marks (common marks at cut-off point), such candidates will be ranked according to their age in descending order, in the merit list, read the SBI notification.
Educational Qualifications
- Chief Information Officer: Bachelor or Master’s degree in software engineering or relevant field; MBA will be an added advantage.
- Chief Technology Officer: Bachelor or Master’s degree in software engineering or relevant field; MBA will be an added advantage.
- Deputy Chief Technology Officer (e-Channels): Bachelor or Master’s degree in software engineering or relevant field; MBA will be an added advantage.
- Deputy Chief Technology Officer (Core Banking): Bachelor or Master’s degree in software engineering or relevant field; MBA will be an added advantage.
Application fee: A non-refundable fee of Rs 750 for General, EWS and OBC candidates while candidates applying under SC/ ST/PWD categories have been exempted from the application fee.
