Railway Recruitment Cell North Eastern Railway has released an official notification for the recruitment of apprentices in various trades. Eligibility Criteria

The candidates are required to have completed the required qualification of High School/10th with at least 50% marks and an ITI in the specified trade by Jan 24, 2025.

Age Limit

Candidates must be at least 15 years old and not more than 24 years old as of Jan 24, 2025. The upper age limit is varied across reserved category candidates. For SC/ST aspirants, the upper age limit is relaxed by 5 years, while OBC applicants have a relaxation of 3 years while Divyang candidates are eligible for a maximum age relaxation of 10 years.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay a processing fee of Rs 100. However, SC/ST, Divyang (PwBD), and women candidates are exempted from paying the intimation fee.

Selection Procedure

The selection process will be based on a merit list, which will be created by averaging the percentage of marks obtained by candidates in both the Matriculation (with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks) and ITI examinations, with equal weight given to each. Candidates can select more than one unit/place. If their merit position does not allow them to be assigned their first choice, they will be allotted their next available choice.
