Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC) has released an official notification inviting applications of sportspersons for the recruitment in Southern Railway under sports quota.

Age Limit

The age limit applying for the posts under sports quota is between 18-years and 25-years. Candidates should not have been born before January 2, 2000 and not later than January 1, 2007.

Eligibility Criteria

The minimum educational qualification required for posts in Level 1 is a matriculation or ITI or equivalent or NAC granted by NCVT. Aspirants applying for Level 2/3 are required to possess a 12th grade degree or equivalent examination or passed matriculation plus Course Completed Act Apprenticeship for technical categories or passed matriculation plus ITI approved by NCVT/SCVT for technical categories. However, for Level 4/5, candidates are required to possess only a matriculation degree.

Application Fee

Candidates are required to pay an amount of Rs 500 to apply, of which 400 will refunded deducting bank charges on appearing in the trials. However, aspirants belonging to the reserved categories are required to pay an amount of Rs 250. The amount of Rs 250 will be refunded after deduction of bank charges on appearing in the trials.
