Amid the ongoing protests against the alleged irregularities in RRB NTPC exam, Union Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Wednesday asked students to submit their grievances by February 16 and issued fresh directions to all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs).
According to ANI, Vaishnaw has asked all RRB chairmen to listen to the grievances of the students regarding the Non-Technical Popular Categories and compile them before sending those to the committee which has been set up to examine the grievances of those who have passed the exams under different RRBs and those who have failed.
The said committee will later submit a report to the Railway Ministry after listening to both parties.
Besides, an email address has been set up for this purpose. "The committee will go to different parts of the country and listen to the grievances of the students," said the Railway Minister.
Moreover, the students can submit their grievances before the committee till February 16. The committee will examine the grievances and submit its recommendations before March 4, said Vaishnaw.
Vaishnaw further assured that the government will seriously address the grievances and concerns raised by the students.
It is pertinent to mention here that the RRB has decided to suspend its NTPC and Level 1 tests following protests by the job aspirants.
On the other hand, the Railways has warned the job aspirants that those found involved in vandalism and unlawful activities while protesting will be barred from ever getting recruited to the department.
