The Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh officially commenced the application dates for recruitment for prescribed 121 vacant posts on June 25, 2024  for the role of Assistant Professors through direct recruitment on regular basis in different specialties for PGIMER.

Age Limit

The age of candidate should not surpass 50 years as on the crucial date.

The upper age limit will be determined as on last date of submission of applications. However, the age limit relaxation for the SC/ST candidates is 5 years. 
For OBC aspirants, it is 3 years and for PwBD aspirants the age relaxation beyond the upper age limit is 10 years. 
For Central Government civilian employees fulfilling the conditions, the upper age limit relaxation is 5 years and for Ex-Serviceman it is as applicable under DOPT guidelines.
 

Eligibility Criteria

All the applying candidates must have a medical degree in relevant subjects from recognised university or institute.  

The application fee to be paid by SC/ST candidates is Rs 800 and for all other category of candidates the application fee is Rs 1500. However, persons with disabilities (PwBD) are exempted from payment of the application fee.

The candidates are advised to pay the application fee through SBI Challan form.
