The online application and registration process for the recruitment of Revenue Inspectors by Odisha Sub-Ordinate Staff Selection Commission (OSSSC) has started from today.
A total of 586 vacancies are available under District Cadre Posts of Odisha Revenue Inspector Recruitment 2021, an official OSSSC notification read.
The posts are contractual on consolidated monthly remuneration in various district establishments under the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of Odisha government.

Age & Educational Qualification
-A candidate must be below 32 years and over 20 years of age as on 1st January, 2021, i.e. the year in which advertisement is published.
- The upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for the candidates belonging to SC/ST/SEBC/Women/Ex-Serviceman category and up to 5 years in case of candidates having actual work experience in Settlement/ Consolidation.
-The upper age limit for the candidates belonging to the Persons with Disabilities (PwD) category shall be relaxed by 10 years. The persons in Defence Service having more than six months to retire or to be discharged from service as on the last date of the submission of online application are not eligible to apply for the post.
- A candidate who comes under more than one category shall be eligible for only one benefit of relaxation which shall be considered most beneficial to him/her. Provided that Persons with Disability are entitled to cumulative age relaxation of ten years over and above the normal age relaxation specified in sub-rule-3(a) and (b) of the Odisha Civil Service (Fixation of Upper age limit) Rules, 1989 as amended up to date.
- (a) The candidates coming under Rule-3(3) of Odisha Group-B posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules, 2013 and who are below 45 years of age shall be allowed to participate in the recruitment process provided they satisfy all other eligibility criteria.
-(b) The Candidates coming under Category-1 and Category-H types of contractual employees as per Rule-4 of Odisha Group-B Posts (Contractual Appointment) Rules-2013 and who are below 45 years of age shall be eligible to get the benefits of special provisions as per Rule-8 of the said rules, provided they satisfy the conditions mentioned therein.
The Eligible candidates will be required to register for the post by clicking on the button, "Register" on the Home page of the Commission's website www.osssc.gov.in between 24 June to 23 July 2021. The last date for submitting application is 30 July 2021.
Place and Date of Written Examination
The recruitment examination shall be held in all the Districts. The date, time and venue of the Written examination will be intimated to the eligible candidates through the admission letters to be issued online in due course from a specific date to be notified in the said website later.
“The written examination is likely to be held in the month of September, 2021 in all the Districts. The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission at regular intervals and also keep track of different notices to be published by the Commission to know about the detail programme of the examination,”the official notification read.
