OPSC postpones OCS Preliminary Exam 2023 due to Cyclone Dana

In view of the impending severe cyclonic storm Dana, the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Wednesday postponed the Odisha Civil Services Preliminary Examination-2023 scheduled to be held on October 27.

“In view of the impending cyclonic storm ‘Dana’, the OCS Preliminary Examination-2023, pursuant to Advt. No. 20 of 2023.24 scheduled to be held on 27.10.2024 is hereby postponed,” a notice from the OPSC read.

“The next date of the OCS Preliminary examination 2023 shall be notified after 7 days,” the letter further read.

 Candidates have been advised to visit the website of the Commission at opsc.gov.in for further information.

Cyclone Dana: Emergency Helpline Numbers For Odisha

The OPSC had earlier released the admit cards for the OCS prelims examination 2023. Candidates, who would appear in the examination, were then directed to download their admit cards or admission letters along with the exam day instructions from opsc website.

Worth mentioning, the prelims examination will consist of two compulsory papers of General Studies. Questions in both papers will be objective type. Each paper in the preliminary examination will carry 200 marks and duration will be two hours.

The OPSC OCS examination 2023 is being conducted for 399 vacancies notified by various departments of the Odisha government.
