The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) has released an important notice regarding use of scribes by differently-abled candidates in the upcoming recruitment examination for the posts of SDIPRO.
The written examination for the Group B SDIPRO posts under the Odisha Information Service (OIS-II) is scheduled for January 28 (Saturday) and 29 (Sunday), 2023.
“It is for information of those PwD candidates (list enclosed) who have opted for availing the facility of scribe in the SDIPRO (OIS-II) online application form that, the Persons with bench mark disabilities in the category of Blindness, Locomotor Disability (both arm affected) & Cerebral Palsy shall be allowed to take the assistance of Scribe in the SDIPRO (01S-11) Examination,” the OPSC said.
The commission has asked the candidates to furnish detail information about the scribe as per proforma by email to OPSC (Email ID-opsc@nic.in) which should reach the Commission's Office on or before January 17, 2023.
The commission said except the three categories, the other category of persons with benchmark disabilities shall furnish a written statement from the Chief Medical Officer or Civil Surgeon or Medical Superintendent of a Government Health care Institution to certify that he/she has physical limitation and scribe is essential to write the examination.
“After obtaining the certificate regarding Physical limitation, from the CMO or any other competent authority as stated above, these candidates shall submit the details of their own scribe as per proforma at APPENDI-II by email to OPSC (Email ID- opsc@nic.in) which should reach the Commission on or before 17.01.2023 positively for consideration of the Commission,” the commission added.
It can be noted that a total of 19 posts of SDIPRO (OIS- II) will be filled up in the Information and Public Relations Department through the recruitment drive.
Exam pattern
The written examination will be of subjective type consisting of four papers each consisting of 100 marks and 02 (two) hours duration.
Written Test:-
a. Paper-I- Odia b. Paper-II- General English c. Paper-III- General Awareness d. Paper-IV- Journalism & Mass Communication
Viva-voce Test:-
This test shall consist of 30 (thirty) marks.
