Odisha Police Recruitment
The State Selection Board (SSB) of Odisha Police has announced an increase in the number of vacancies for the Sepoy/Constable recruitment examination, 2024.
According to a recent notice published on odishapolice.gov.in, an additional 720 vacancies have been added across Odisha Police battalions. This raises the total number of vacancies for the Odisha Police Constable recruitment 2024 to 2,030, up from the previous total of 1,360.
The SSB Odisha Police also recently announced an extension for the application period till October 30, 2024. The previous deadline was October 13, 2024.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are required to have successfully finished their Class 10 (Matriculation) examination from the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) Odisha or a recognized equivalent board.
Age Limit
Candidates must be between the ages of 18 and 23 as of January 1, 2024. The upper age limit relaxation will be granted to candidates as per the guidelines of Government of India.
Selection Process
Aspirants will need to undergo 4 tests to in the recruitment examination
Computer Based Recruitment Examination: The exam will be of duration 120 minutes consisting of 100 questions carrying 100 marks. However, there will be .25 marks deducted for each wrong answer. The exam will consist of objective type questions from subjects – Odia language, English language, Arithmetic, General Knowledge, Situational Awareness, Logical Reasoning, and Basic Computer Knowledge.
Measurement of Physical Standards and Physical Efficiency Test:
• For UR/SEBC men: Height – 168 cm, Weight – 55 kg, Chest (expanded) – 84 cm, (unexpanded) – 79 cm
• For SC/ST men: Height – 163 cm, Weight – 50 kg, Chest (expanded) – 81 cm, (unexpanded) – 76 cm
Driving Test: Candidates passing the above mentioned tests will be eligible to appear for this test.
Medical Examination: Medical examination by a medical board may be conducted at any stage of the recruitment process
