The Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) on Thursday announced the date for the conduct of the Odisha Civil Services (OCS) preliminary examination 2021.
In its latest notice, OPSC said, “It is for information of all concerned that, the Commission has decided to conduct the OCS Preliminary examination, 2021, pursuant to Advt No 25 of 2021-22, tentatively on October 16, 2022.”
OPSC further informed that the details of the programme of the said examination shall be notified later. “The candidates are advised to visit the website of the Commission for further information,” the OPSC notice added.
OPSC Chairman, Satyajit Mohanty tweeted, "To clear doubts, the preliminary 2021 will be held after announcement of the 2020 OCS results."
It is pertinent to mention here that the Odisha Public Service Commission (OPSC) recently rejected applications of as many as 7039 Odisha Civil Services aspirants. Sources said that applications of most of the candidates were rejected on the ground of not furnishing address, qualification and physical measurement details.
Besides, many candidates also failed to pay examination fee and uploaded their photographs while filling up the online application form which led to their rejection.
The OPSC had published the notification for the Odisha Civil Services Examination-2021 on December 31, 2021 to fill up 405 posts and services coming under Odisha Civil Services (Group A and Group B). The vacancy was increased to 433 later. Online applications were invited from interested candidates from January 10, 2022 to February 18, 2022.
