IOCL has released an official notification inviting applications for apprenticeship opportunities. The Indian Oil Corporation is offering these opportunities across its refineries located in Assam, Bihar (Barauni), Gujarat (Vadodara), West Bengal (Haldia), Uttar Pradesh (Mathura), Haryana (Panipat), and Odisha (Paradip).

Attendant Operator (Chemical Plant), Post Code 101 – Candidates must have a three-year B.Sc degree with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
Fitter, Post Code 102 – Candidates must have passed secondary school and completed a two-year ITI course in the Fitter trade.
Boiler, Post Code 103 – Candidates must have a three-year B.Sc degree with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
Technician Apprentice (Chemical), Post Code 104 – Candidates must hold a three-year Diploma in Chemical, Petrochemical, or Refinery and Petrochemical Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Mechanical), Post Code 105 – Candidates must hold a three-year Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Electrical), Post Code 106 – Candidates must have a three-year Diploma in Electrical or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
Technician Apprentice (Instrumentation), Post Code 107 – Candidates must have a three-year Diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Instrumentation and Control, or Applied Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering.
Secretarial Assistant, Post Code 108 – Candidates must hold a three-year B.A., B.Sc, or B.Com degree.
Accountant, Post Code 109 – Candidates must have completed a three-year B.Com degree.
Data Entry Operator (Fresher), Post Code 110 – Candidates must have passed A-levels.
Data Entry Operator (Skill Certificate Holder), Post Code 111 – Candidates must have passed A-levels and possess a Skill Certificate in Domestic Data Entry Operator.
Age Limit
The minimum age to apply is 18 years, and the maximum age is 24 years as of May 31, 2025, for candidates in the General and EWS categories.
Age relaxation is provided in accordance with government guidelines: candidates from SC/ST categories are eligible for a relaxation of five years, those from the OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) category receive a relaxation of three years, and persons with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are granted a relaxation of ten years.
How to Apply for IOCL Apprentice Recruitment 2025
For Trade Apprentices (Post Codes 101, 102, 103, 108, 109, 110, and 111): Candidates must register on the NAPS (National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme) portal. After registration, they should search for IOCL apprenticeship opportunities based on location and apply for the relevant trade.
For Technician Apprentices (Post Codes 104, 105, 106, and 107): Candidates must register on the NATS (National Apprenticeship Training Scheme) portal. Once registered, they should apply for the IOCL advertisement available on their NATS dashboard.
Selection Process
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their submitted applications. The final selection will be made through document verification, scheduled between June 16 and June 24, 2025. No written test or interview will be conducted.
