Indian Navy has invited applications from eligible candidates for the recruitment of Short Service Commission executive (Information Technology) posts.
Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the pots by visiting the Indian Navy website www.joinindiannavy.gov.in.
The application process has already begun on January 21 and the last date to apply for the post is February 5.

Educational Qualification
A candidate must have minimum 60% marks in English in class X or XII and MSc/ BE/ B Tech/ M Tech (Computer Science/ Computer Science & Engineering/ Computer Engineering / Information Technology/ Software Systems/ Cyber Security/ System Administration & Networking/ Computer Systems & Networking/ Data Analytics/ Artificial Intelligence) / MCA with BCA/BSc (Computer Science/ Information Technology) with minimum 60% overall qualifying marks.
Age Limit
Candidates should be born between July 2, 1998 to January 1, 2004 to apply for the post.
Selection Process
The selection process comprises of shortlisting of applications on normalised marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree.
Marks obtained by the candidates in the qualifying degree will be normalised using formulae mentioned on the website.
A merit list would be prepared based on SSB marks.
Candidates declared fit in medical examination would be appointed subject to police verification and character verification & availability of vacancies in the entry.
Tenure
Selected candidates will be granted Short Service Commission initially for 10 years extendable by maximum 4 years in 02 terms (2 years + 2 years), subject to service requirement, performance, medical eligibility and willingness of candidates.
