The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kharagpur is inviting online applications from the Indian nationals for recruitment to the posts of Junior Assistant.
Vacancy Details:
UR- 25 posts, SC- 1 post, ST- 1 post, OBC- 10 posts, EWS- 2 posts, PWD- 1 post, Total- 40 posts
Junior Assistant Salary:
Level 3 of Pay Matrix Rs 21,700 - 69100 and other allowances as admissible
Essential Qualification and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with knowledge of computer office applications like MS Word, MS Excel etc. Computer Typing skill of 35 wpm with an average of 5 key depressions for each word.
Age limit:
Candidates aged between 18 to 25 years are only to apply for the posts. Age relaxation for SC/ST/OBCs/ PWD/Ex-Serviceman and women candidates is applicable as per Government of India norms. Age relaxation is also applicable to those working in IIT Kharagpur system.

Application Fee:
Applicants will have to pay an application fee of Rs 250 through online portal. No fee is required for SC/ST/PwD/Women candidates.
Selection Process:
The short-listing of candidates will be done only based on the documents uploaded at the time of online application followed by written/trade test.
To-and-fro rail fare by the shortest route being limited to second sleeper class will be paid to all SC/ST/PWD candidates to attend the Trade Test only.
The Institute said it reserve the right to call only the requisite number of candidates for Written/Trade Test after shortlisting with reference to the candidate's qualification, suitability, experience, etc, IIT Kharagpur said in its recruitment notification.
