The Indian Air Force (IAF) has invited applications from unmarried Indian male and female candidates across all States and Union Territories to join as Agniveervayu (Musician). The recruitment tests will be held from 10 June 2025 to 18 June 2025 at 2 ASC C/O Race Course Camp, Air Force Station New Delhi and 7 ASC, No. 1 Cubbon Road, Bengaluru.
Eligbible candidates can apply online through https://agnipathvayu.cdac.in. The registration will close at 2300 hrs on May 11, 2025. Only candidates with a Provisional Admit Card will be allowed at the rally.
Age Limit
Candidates must be born between 01 January 2005 and 01 July 2008 (both dates inclusive). If selected, the upper age on enrolment must not exceed 21 years. Only unmarried candidates are eligible and must remain unmarried throughout the four-year engagement.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must have passed Matriculation/10th or equivalent from a government-recognised board. They must show proficiency in tempo, pitch, and singing a complete song, perform a preparatory tune, and be familiar with notations like Staff, Tablature, Tonic Solfa, Hindustani, or Carnatic. Tuning instruments and matching unknown notes are required skills.
Candidates must be proficient in playing one instrument from List A or List B.
List A: Concert Flute/Piccolo, Oboe, Clarinet (Eb/Bb), Saxophone (Eb/Bb), French Horn (F/Bb), Trumpet (Eb/C/Bb), Trombone (Bb/G), Baritone, Euphonium, Bass/Tuba (Eb/Bb).
List B: Keyboard/Organ/Piano, Guitar (Acoustic/Lead/Bass), Violin/Viola/String Bass, Percussion/Drums (Acoustic/Electronic), all Indian Classical Instruments.
Proficiency in two instruments (one from each list) is desirable.
Registration Fee
Candidates must pay a registration fee of Rs 100 plus GST online through Debit Card, Credit Card, Internet Banking, or UPI. Transaction details should be retained for reference.
The final enrolment list for Agniveervayu Intake 01/2026 will be published on 01 December 2025, with call letters sent to candidates' registered e-mail IDs.
Selection Procedure
The selection process includes a proficiency test in musical instruments, an English written test, Adaptability Test-I, Physical Fitness Test I & II, Adaptability Test-II, and medical appointments.
