Armoured Vehicles Nigam Limited (AVNL) has released a notification inviting online applications from eligible Indian candidates for various fixed tenure posts at the Heavy Vehicles Factory (HVF) in Avadi, Chennai. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1,850 vacancies on a contract basis.
The application process is exclusively through online mode, and the last date to apply and pay the application fee is July 19, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria
The posts are for Junior Technician (Contract) across several trades including Blacksmith, Carpenter, Electrician, Electroplater, Examiner (in Electrician, Fitter General, Fitter Electronics, Machinist, Welder), Fitter General, Fitter AFV, Fitter Auto Electric, Fitter Electronics, Heat Treatment Operator, Machinist, Operator Material Handling Equipment, Painter, Rigger, Sand & Shot Blaster, and Welder.
Candidates must hold NAC/NTC qualifications in relevant trades such as Blacksmith, Carpenter, Electrician, Fitter, Electroplater, Machinist, Electronics Mechanic, or Foundry. For Crane Operator posts, Class X or equivalent qualification with a Heavy Vehicle Driving Licence and two years of crane handling experience is required.

Age Limit
The maximum age limit for applicants is 35 years, with age relaxations applicable as per government norms.
Application Fee
The application fee is Rs. 300 for general candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and female applicants are exempted from the fee. All payments must be made online.
Exam Date
Applicants should note that the trade test/exam will be conducted on July 26 and 27, 2025. Admit cards will be released before the exam, and the result date will be notified later.
