Hindustan Copper Limited (HCL) has invited online applications for recruitment of 209 seats that are available across various trades, with training durations ranging from one to three years. The last date for submitting applications is June 2, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

Trades Requiring Only Matriculation Qualification

Candidates applying for the following trades must have passed the 10th/Matric examination under the 10+2 education system or its equivalent. No technical (ITI) qualification is required for these trades:

Mate (Mines): 37 posts

Blaster (Mines): 36 posts

Front Office Assistan: 20 posts

Trades Requiring Matriculation with ITI Certification

For the trades listed below, candidates must have passed 10th/Matric along with ITI in the respective trade from an institute recognised by NCVT or SCVT:

Diesel Mechanic: 4 posts

Fitter: 10 posts

Turner: 7 posts

Welder (Gas & Electric): 10 posts

Electrician: 30 posts

Electronics Mechanic: 4 posts

Draughtsman (Civil): 4 posts

Draughtsman (Mechanical): 5 posts

Computer Operator & Programming Assistant: 33 posts

Surveyor: 4 posts

Pump Operator Cum Mechanic: 4 posts

Refrigeration & Air Conditioner: 1 post

Candidates holding higher professional qualifications such as Diplomas, B.E., or academic degrees like B.A., B.Sc., and B.Com. will not be considered, nor will they receive any added weightage.

Age Limit

Applicants should be between 18 and 30 years of age as of May 1, 2025. Relaxation of five years is applicable for SC/ST candidates and three years for OBC candidates in line with government guidelines. 

Selection Process

The selection will be based on a merit list that considers academic marks. For trades requiring ITI, 30% weightage will be given to ITI marks and 70% to 10th board marks. For trades not requiring ITI, 100% weightage will go to 10th board marks. An additional 10 marks will be granted to dependants of HCL/KCC employees.

How to Apply

Candidates must first register on the Government of India apprenticeship portal at www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in and obtain a unique registration number. This number must be used during Step 2, which involves online submission of the application via HCL’s official website www.hindustancopper.com. 

Applications will only be accepted online under the ‘One Applicant – One Application’ system.
