Jaipur: A young tuition teacher was arrested by police on Tuesday for allegedly murdering a teenaged girl and her brother after the former spurned him.

The accused Tarachand Bairwa purportedly had an affair with Bhagyashree, a class XII student whom he tutored, for the last two years but frequent altercations forced the girl to call off the relationship, a senior police officer said.

Suspecting that Bhagyashree was having an affair with another man, Bairwa conspired to kill her and her brother, Chandrashekhar (22), who had objected to their affair. Bairwa stabbed Bhagyashree to death when she was alone at her house, near Sanganer locality, on Tuesday and later did away with Chandrashekhar when he returned from work, the officer said.

When the victims` parents returned home, they found their children missing and filed a police complaint. The bodies were later recovered from separate places, said the officer, adding vital clues led them to the suspect, who was arrested here today.
