New York: The unusually warm weather that you felt last year was experienced across most parts of the world, making 2014 the hottest year in recorded history, said a report based on contributions from 413 scientists from 58 countries around the world.

Several markers of climate change such as rising land and ocean temperature, sea levels and greenhouse gases set new records in 2014, the fifth warmest year since national records began in 1901, the findings showed.
