Betul (MP): Police on Monday claimed to have busted an inter-state sex racket and arrested five persons, including two women, in this connection.

Two minor girls, who were reportedly missing from the last two days from Hamlapur area, were also rescued, they said.

The arrested have been identified as one Pawan Gond, Radheshyam, Mirabai Bagri, Mala alias Malti Verma and Shrawan Korku, police said.

According to Superintendent of Police Lalit Shakyawar, two persons had informed police a few days ago that their daughters had gone missing.

Police had registered a missing person`s report but during investigation they came to know that Pawan Gond from Kashiya village had sent both the girls out of the city with a woman.

Police arrested Pawan and started questioning him, during which, he told them that he had sent both the girls to his aunt`s place.

When the girls were brought back, they alleged that that besides Pawan, another man named Prem had raped them.

They also told that they were sent to Pawan`s aunt Mala under the pretext of providing them jobs.

Mala, along with Sajjan Singh, one Radheshyam and Mirabai took the girls to Bhilwada in Rajasthan and tried to sell them, he added.

Accused Sajjan Singh is absconding.
