Odisha Public Health Director, Niranjan Mishra on Friday took stock of the preparedness to tackle Malaria and Diarrhoea in Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts.
Ahead of the rainy season, the government is worried about Malaria and Diarrhoea situation in the state. As a part of the exercise to contain the spread of the diseases, Odisha Public Health Director today reviewed the situation in three Malaria and Diarrhoea-prone districts namely, Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur.
Mishra directed the Health Department authorities to take precautionary steps well in advance. They have also been directed to sanitise all water sources.
“At the advent of Monsoon, cases of Malaria and Diarrhoea go up. Koraput, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts are the three Malaria and Diarrhoea-prone districts. The review meeting was held for the districts to chalk out an action plan,” said Mishra.
