Appearing before Dehra Dun Chief Judicial Magistrate Kunwar Amaninder Singh, Gulati (37) pleaded that his mental condition was not such that he could record his statement, a police official said.
This is the third time that Gulati refused to record his statement citing his mental condition. Earlier he refused twice, on December 20 and 24, giving the same reason.
Meanwhile, the court extended the judicial custody of Gulati for another 14 days, the police official said.
The gruesome murder of Anupama (33) came to light on December 12 last year when her brother S K Pradhan lodged a police complaint after he did not get satisfactory reply from Gulati about his sister`s whereabouts.
