New Delhi: Four persons, including a juvenile, have been arrested for allegedly robbing a factory owner after tying him and his servant in Wazirpur industrial area three days ago, police said today. The arrest came after the accused, including the juvenile, were identified from CCTV footage installed at a nearby factory.

"Police apprehended the juvenile from Delhi gate on Tuesday when he was trying to surrender before the Juvenile Justice board through an NGO," a senior police official said. During interrogation, he disclosed about the involvement of two of his accomplices and two others who were involved in hatching the conspiracy.

"Two of his accomplices, Harikesh Kumar and Samant Mandal were arrested the same evening while the third Raj Kumar alias Kalu was arrested yesterday," P Karunakaran, DCP North-West district, said, adding the main accused Anuj alias Ann Kumar is absconding and surveillance has been mounted to arrest him.

According to police, on July 14, three persons barged into a factory at around 10.40 AM and looted Rs 3.35 lakh in cash, two gold rings and a gold chain from the owner and his servant after tying them with a rope at knife point. The accused were identified by a CCTV footage and a surveillance was launched, through which police came to that they were in Haridwar. But due to heavy presence of Kawariyas, they could not arrest them, the official said.

Police have recovered Rs 68,050 in cash, a knife (used in crime), clothes worn by the accused at the time of crime and three mobile phones. The remaining cash and jewellery are in the possession of Kalu. All the arrested persons reside in a slum near the factory.
