Malkangiri: The body of a forest guard was found today with his throat slit in Naxal-hit Malkangiri district, police said.

Sisir Khosla (46), who was working in Balimela forest range, was found dead at Sunanagar Ghati under Orkel police station area.

Efforts are on to ascertain whether the forest guard was killed by the Maoists or the timber mafia and smugglers, police said.
