After spending 12 days at Anasara Ghara, Lord Jagannath and his siblings have regained their youthful looks and are all set to give darshan to devotees at Nabajoubana Besha tomorrow.
The Sri Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA) has come up with the timing for Trinity’s Nabajoubana Besha. According to the time table, Parimanika darshan will be held at 8am following which devotees can get a glimpse of Lord Jagannath, Lord Balabhadra and Goddess Subhadra which will continue from 9 am to 10.30am.
Public will be barred from darshan for some secret rituals which will continue from 10.30 am to 2pm and again from 3pm to 6pm. Similarly, public won’t be allowed to have darshan between 6.30pm and 9pm and from 10 pm to 11.30pm. However, public are allowed to have darshan of the deities from 2pm to 3pm, from 6pm to 6.30pm, 9pm to 10.30pm and from 11.30 to 12.30pm.
Meanwhile, police conducted a mock drill of pulling chariots. Besides, mock drill was held at Police Reserve Police Line Ground to deal with law and order situation, crowd management and stampede like situations.
The mock drill of chariot pulling was held in the presence of Additional Police DG Radhakrushna Sharma, Magistrate and police officials to be engaged in three chariots during the annual sojourn of Lord Jagannath.
It is learnt that 180 platoons of police will be deployed for smooth conduct of Rath Yatra. As many new police officials are going to join Rath Yatra for the first time, mock drill was held to train them. Mock drill of green corridor was held. Apart from that mock drill was held how to carry patients to hospital amid rush.
A team comprising IG (Central Range) Narasingha Bhola, IG Debadutta Singh, DIG Jayanarayan Pankaj and Superintendent of Police Kanwar Biswal Singh along with magistrates led by Aditional IG Radhakrushna Sharma took part in the mock drill.
Additional Director General RK Sharma said, “We rehearsed mock drill for the smooth conduct of Rath Yatra so that there won’t be lack of coordination between officials during Rath Yatra.
