This Year’s Ritual Dedicated to Lord Jagannath
For Lord Jagannath’s ‘Sripaya’s Muda’, another secret ritual, ‘Khali Prasad’ and ‘Khadi Prasad’ will be offered. Interestingly, the ‘Ghana Lagi’ ritual is not performed for all the deities at once. Each year, this ritual is conducted for one of the deities, and this year, it will be performed for Lord Jagannath.
‘Khali Lagi’ Ritual
The Khali Lagi ritual is carried out after the Dibya Lepana, a special coating made of flour, is brought from the residence of Anasara Suddha Suara. This is then offered at Srimandir. Along with the Dibya Lepana, ceremonial items such as a gong bell, umbrella, and ‘Kahali’ will also be offered to the Lord.
