As India revels in the spirit of patriotism with the celebrations of 73rd Republic day, people from eminent political figures to famous personalities in varied fields and the common man too have extended their heartfelt greetings for all.
President Ram Nath Kovind urged the people of the country to keep up with constant endeavours to take the nation forward in the path of development.
“India is an ancient civilisation but a young republic. For us, nation-building is a constant endeavour. As in a family, so in a nation; one generation works hard to ensure a better future for the next generation,” tweeted Kovind.
Prime Minister Modi took to Twitter to wish the people of the country on the grand occasion.
“Wishing you all a happy Republic Day. Jai Hind! #RepublicDay,” Modi wrote on his Tweeter handle.
Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik greeted people on the Republic day.
“Warm wishes on 73rd Republic Day. On this day, let’s remember the freedom fighters who made selfless sacrifices for this Great Nation and solemnly reaffirm pledge to uphold the ideals enshrined in our Constitution. Jai Hind,” tweeted Patnaik.
Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan also greeted people on the occasion.
“Greetings to everyone on 73rd #RepublicDay,” Pradhan wrote on his Twitter handle.
Responding to the Occasion, BJP National Vice-President Baijayant Panda wrote, “Hearty good wishes and greetings to all on the occasion of 73rd Republic Day.”
Similarly, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh also took to Twitter to extend his greetings to the people of India.
“This is an occasion to celebrate our democracy and cherish the ideas and values enshrined in our Constitution. Praying for the continued progress and prosperity of our country,” the Raksha Mantri wrote.
Eminent sand artist from Odisha, Sudarsan Pattnaik tweeted a beautiful sand art created by his students on Puri sea beach to pay tributes.
In a tweet the Congress party hailed the contribution of Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar in drafting India’s constitution.
“It was in 1950 that we turned into a sovereign republic. Today, as we celebrate the uniqueness of our unity under one Constitution and our precious assimilation of multiple beliefs and cultures, let us treasure our oneness. Happy Republic Day. Jai Hind,” tweeted eminent businessman Gautam Adani.
West Indies cricketer Chris Gayle also congratulated India on the occasion of the 73rd Republic Day.
“I would like to congratulate India on their 73rd Republic Day. I woke up to a personal message from Prime Minister Modi. Reaffirming my close personal ties with him and to the people of India. Congratulations from the Universe Boss and nuff love,” wrote Gayle.
Famous South actor Sai Dharam Tej also wished the fellow citizens of the country on the grand occasion.
“No guts to glory !!,Proud to be an INDIAN Flag of India, Republic Day wishes to my fellow Indians,” tweeted Tej.
