The Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) has planned for a illumination project to enhance the beauty of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri even more. A technical team of the ASI on Tuesday toured the Srimandir and reviewed the detail arrangements for installing better light system in and around the main temple.

A technical team of the ASI on Tuesday toured the Srimandir and reviewed the detail arrangements for installing better light system in and around the main temple.

As per the plan, lights will be installed from the spire of the temple where the Neelachakra, the blue wheel is fixed, to the base of the shrine. This apart, the administration has also decided to brighten up each of the four doors of the temple with the help of lights.
