Zoya Akhtar's much-anticipated film, 'The Archies,' based on the beloved Archie comics, has unveiled its official trailer, giving fans a glimpse into the world of these iconic characters.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of 1960s Riverdale in India, the film showcases the adventures of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead, Reggie, Dilton, and Ethel, all in their late teens, as they become rebels with a cause.

The story revolves around the fight to preserve the essence of their town, which is threatened by the ambitions of Hiram Lodge, portrayed by Alyy Khan, who aims to turn Riverdale into a commercial hub.

Suhana, in her debut role as Veronica, plays a pivotal character who unwittingly allies with the town's defenders, unaware of her father's intentions. The clash of interests sets the stage for protests and conflicts, forming the crux of 'The Archies.'

Soon after the release of 'The Archies' official trailer, it has generated considerable buzz, with Suhana Khan drawing significant attention for her role and marking her debut in the film industry. Many fans are eager to witness her acting skills for the first time.

Meanwhile, a few people appear to bring out the nepotism debate as well as make sarcastic comments over the acting and talent of the debutants. One of the X users says that 'The Archies' actors have 'zero talent' while a few comment on their acting skills.

The Archies features Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, Agastya Nanda, Mihir Ahuja, Vedang Raina, Aditi 'Dot' Saigal and Yuvraj Menda in key roles. It is all set to premiere on Netflix on December 7.
