In what could spark major nostalgia and mayhem among Bollywood fans, Zoya Akhtar's 2011 film ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’ might be getting a sequel sooner than expected. The film’s lead stars - Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol hinted about this possibility in a social media post that quickly went viral.

On Wednesday noon, Farhan Akhtar took to Instagram and shared a video of him with his two co-stars. Hrithik Roshan, in a brown jacket, exclaims "Unbelievable," while Farhan, in a black t-shirt, says "Outstanding,” with the movie’s ‘Senorita’ song playing in the background.

The video then shows them looking at Alexandre Dumas' novel ‘The Three Musketeers’, a nod to their characters in the film. A further tease came when Akhtar captioned the video, “Do you see the signs??" tagging Zoya Akhtar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Reema Kagti, Excel Entertainment, and Tiger Baby.

As such, in no time, the tease went wildly viral and fans from all over ran to the comments section to express their eagerness. “Please please pleaseeeeeeee,” wrote one. Others chimed in with “This would totally destroy box office”, “I am more ready than anything else,” and "The world needs it! The best comfort movie ever."

Incidentally, in June last year, Farhan Akhtar had teased a possibility of a sequel to ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. “We all want the sequel to happen as it’s a loved film. The audiences have owned the film,” he had said.

Released in 2011, the movie starred Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar, Abhay Deol, Katrina Kaif and Kalki Koechlin, and still remains a fan favourite.

The film was also a box office hit, grossing Rs 174.5 crore worldwide in its first run. Meanwhile, all but an official confirmation from the filmmakers is awaited.
