Yami Gautam's Reply Once Again Confirms That Bollywood Is Biased Towards Outsiders

Be it OTT or the theaters, the current trend shows that the Bollywood divas are doing exceedingly well when it comes to doing versatile roles and entertaining the audience. Deepika Padukone’s Gehraiyaan released last month on the OTT received an overwhelming response and loads of appreciation while Alia Bhatt’s Gangubai Kathiawadi opened to a huge number in the theaters last week.

Madhuri Dixit too debuted on OTT last week with The Fame Game and once again proved that she continues to be the reigning queen of Bollywood. One more Bollywood actress-Yami Gautam whose OTT drama A Thursday was released in mid-February has done a wonderful job in the lead role. However, her work and the thriller did not get the kind of notice, hype, and appreciation that the other three projects of Deepika, Alia, and Madhuri received.

Yami has done a wonderful job in A Thursday and none other than Kangana Ranaut praised Yami for her acting in the suspense thriller. As is a practice even the leading tabloids and magazines from the entertainment field focus only on the A-listers and their project whereas others with no Godfather or connection are barely noticed.

When a fan pointed out that Yami Gautam should be included along with Deepika, Alia, and Madhuri as the leading ladies who were successful in the last couple of weeks, the Badlapur actress promptly replied that her experience has made her not expect anything from a certain section of media and that she has been a hustler and will continue to be the one always.
