War 2 teaser released a few days ago made quite a noise as expected. While most of the social media users thought that the VFX and the actions scenes are too basic, a few also thought that Ayan Mukerji and YRF have failed to project Jr NTR properly as the lead antagonist.

War 2 teaser released a few days ago made quite a noise as expected. But most of it was for all the wrong reasons which the makers would certainly won’t like to hear. While most of the social media users thought that the VFX and the actions scenes are too basic, a few also thought that Ayan Mukerji and YRF have failed to project Jr NTR properly as the lead antagonist.

Knowing that he is a Tollywood superstar who gained international fame after RRR, fans had expected a stunning entry or large-than-life portrayal of Tarak’s character but both Hrithik Roshan and the Southern superstar have failed to impress today’s young Bollywood audience who are used to watching high octane action movies from across the globe.

Tollywood made Amitabh Bachchan and Ranbir Kapoor look impressive, massive

When it comes to Bollywood superstars working with Tollywood directors, the result has always been fabulous. Be it Amitabh Bachchan in Kalki 2898 AD Ranbir Kapoor in Animal or even Shah Rukh Khan in Jawan, the South Indian directors have made these superstars look massive and impressive.

But when it is time for the Bollywood directors to direct South Indian actors the result has not been that impressive. Be it Prabhas in Adipurush or now Jr NTR in War 2, their presentation on the big screen has been far from their larger-than-life image known to the Tollywood audience. Even Ram Charan looked unimpressive when he was made the hero of Zanjeer although by then he was already a huge name in South India.

A general opinion on the web is that it can be because both Ranbir Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan are fabulous actors and they will always perform well irrespective of who the director is. On the other hand, Prabhas or Jr NTR are superstars but need a good director to extract that highly impressive work from them.

And that is clearly evident. While Rajamouli being an expert director brought both the characters of Baahubali and Komaram Bheem alive through his magnificent vision the same cannot be said of both Prabhas and Tarak movies that released after that.

While the teaser of War 2 has failed to make a very good impression, fans of the franchise are keeping their fingers crossed expecting the trailer and the movie might prove to be much better.
