Bollywood has so many talented actors, directors, storytellers, producers, and music composers who use their talent, hard work, and creativity to gain name, fame, and recognition. At least that was the scene until a couple of years ago. Now it seems the entire game in the elite circle of B-town has shifted and at present it is more about keeping yourself relevant by gaining entry into the top circle and being a part of the most happening events, parties, and functions in Bollywood.
Orry, the Liver as he describes himself recently said that he makes his living by posing with famous people and attending their functions. And for that, he gets paid anywhere between 10 to 25 lakhs. Just for that one, chic and sophisticated look, this young man who does not have a single creation to his credit in the world of fashion and entertainment has now become so relevant that even big stars like Deepika Padukone , Kareena Kapoor Khan are happy to pose with him and click with a pout.
Ironically, on the other side are the creative strugglers like Devashish Makhija who recently has been in the news for going bankrupt after his film Jorawar led by Manoj Bajpayee failed to woo the audience to the theaters. Most of the leading tabloids have reported that Makhija is in financial distress and has lost so much money that he cannot even buy himself a bicycle despite giving so much of his life to this industry.
While in his latest blog post on Facebook Makhija refuted the rumours of going bankrupt although he is facing some financial problems it is certainly unacceptable that a person like Orry who until now has not even acted, directed, or produced a movie or has no direct link with either the fashion or entertainment world is suddenly one of the elitist guests at B-town events whereas talented people fail to get recognition and their due.
