Kamal Haasan’s look from Kalki 2898 AD has become the talk of the entire India. Despite Prabhas being the lead actor of the movie it is the look of this Tamil superstar that has caught a frenzy among the fans. Being one of the highest National Award winners in India, Kamal Haasan also tried his luck in Bollywood but returned to the Tamil movie industry.
At one point in his life making it big in Bombay was his dream. So why did the renowned actor return to the regional film industry? Sharing his reasons for leaving Mumbai, Kamal said, “Those times were like that. I was a poorer cousin of the Hindi cinema. So I had to do my laundry and stuff like that. They were spoilt and rich and could make one film for two and a half years and do six films at a time. I thought that’s very defeating in character building, both morally and technically speaking.”
The Hindustani actor continued, “So I decided to leave it. That was one of the reasons. Another reason was there were too many underworld connections and I didn’t want to stay there to either succumb to their threats or oppose it. And I am one of the very few actors who decided very very long time back that I will have nothing to do with black money. Much before all that.”
When asked whether it was possible, Kamal Haasan said, “It was. I am living proof of it. I am still not folded as a company and I am quite happy. Here I am driving my car.”
The entire menacing look of Kamal Haasan in Kalki 2898 AD in the trailer has left the viewers speechless. Speaking about the same in his recent interaction with press the Tamilian superstar said, “We had a lot of talk and also not look like something else that I had done already or somebody has done already. I thought I've a fantastic idea and I had not seen any images of the film, so I thought I would dress myself up in such a way that people would turn around and look at me."
The actor added, “We travelled to LA, we failed a couple of times before we arrived at the acceptable look. So, it's a collaboration. I hope the audience will react the same way we did when we saw the first look."
